ISLAMABAD, 3 August 2026—The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Islamabad formally welcomed Ms. Eden C. Borja as the Embassy’s new Property Officer and Attaché following her arrival in Islamabad in the evening of 01 August 2026, accompanied by her spouse, Mr. Alexander G. Borja.
Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez, together with the Embassy personnel, warmly received Ms. Borja upon her assumption to duty, welcoming her as the newest member of the Embassy’s One Country Team. Her arrival comes at an opportune time as the Embassy prepares for a particularly busy period, including the Philippines’ Chairship of the ASEAN Committee in Islamabad (ACI) during the second half of 2026 and a full calendar of diplomatic, consular, administrative, and public diplomacy engagements.
Ms. Borja brings with her decades of experience in the Philippine Foreign Service. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from the Lyceum of the Philippines University, she has served in various capacities at the Department of Foreign Affairs, including assignments with the Office of Asian and Pacific Affairs, the Office of Consular Affairs, and the Human Resource Management Office. She likewise served overseas at the Philippine Embassies in Mexico and Beijing, where she handled a broad range of administrative, protocol, and diplomatic support functions.
As the Embassy’s new Property Officer and Attaché, Ms. Borja is expected to play an important role in strengthening the Embassy’s administrative operations, property management, logistics, and institutional support systems that enable the efficient delivery of services to Filipinos and the effective implementation of the Embassy’s diplomatic mandate.
The Embassy also recognizes the invaluable support of Mr. Borja, whose accompanying his spouse to Pakistan reflects the shared commitment and sacrifices often made by Foreign Service families in support of overseas assignments. Their partnership serves as a reminder that diplomacy is sustained not only by those who serve in the field, but also by the families whose encouragement and resilience make such service possible.
