KARACHI, 16 June 2026—Philippine Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Dr. Emmanuel R. Fernandez, and his spouse, Mme. Alicia Kalaw-Fernandez, were recently featured as guests on the popular television program City @ 10, hosted by renowned TV personality Ms. Sabha Shaikh. The interview took place on the sidelines of the Ambassador’s official visit to Karachi from 14 to 16 June 2026 to celebrate Philippine Independence Day with members of the Filipino community, as well as the Diplomatic and Consular Corps.

During the program, Ambassador Fernandez and Mme. Kalaw-Fernandez shared their experiences and reflections on various aspects of Pakistani culture, including its food, film, music, fashion, and visual arts. They also discussed the many cultural values shared by the Philippines and Pakistan, such as strong family ties, hospitality, respect for tradition, and the importance of community.
