Incoming Defense and Armed Forces Attaché Pays Courtesy Call on Philippine Ambassador to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, 17 June 2026 — Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez welcomed Colonel Exequiel L. Tidor, PA, during a courtesy call at the Philippine Embassy in Islamabad as the latter prepares to assume his duties as the Philippines’ next Defense and Armed Forces Attaché (DAFA) to Pakistan.

Colonel Tidor was accompanied by his spouse, Ms. Gemma D. Tidor, and daughter, Miss Equiezha Gwenaelle D. Tidor. He is set to succeed Colonel Renato N. Narag, PA (GSC) as the resident Philippine Defense and Armed Forces Attaché in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Ambassador Fernandez briefed Colonel Tidor on the Embassy’s priorities and ongoing efforts to strengthen Philippines–Pakistan relations, including engagements in the political, economic, cultural, and defense spheres. The Ambassador likewise expressed his confidence that Colonel Tidor’s extensive military experience, leadership background, and expertise in intelligence and security matters would contribute significantly to advancing defense cooperation between the Philippines and Pakistan.

A member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1999, Colonel Tidor has served in various operational, intelligence, and leadership positions throughout his distinguished military career. He holds master’s degrees in Public Management and Business Administration and has undergone specialized military and security training in the Philippines and abroad.

Ambassador Fernandez conveyed the Embassy’s full support as Colonel Tidor begins his tour of duty in Pakistan and expressed optimism that his assignment will further strengthen the longstanding partnership between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Pakistan Armed Forces.

The Embassy looks forward to working closely with Colonel Tidor and his family and wishes them a meaningful, productive, and successful stay in Pakistan. END
