ISLAMABAD, 3 June 2026 —Philippine Ambassador to Pakistan Emmanuel R. Fernandez attended the Malaysia-Pakistan MTCP Forum organized by the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad, which gathered former participants of the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) and alumni of Malaysian universities.

The forum, themed “Malaysia-Pakistan Relations in a Changing Regional Landscape: Opportunities & Challenges,” highlighted the importance of educational exchanges, regional cooperation, and sustained people-to-people engagement among Asian partners.

Ambassador Fernandez’s attendance underscored the Philippines’ strong support for initiatives of fellow ASEAN Member-States that advance international educational exchanges, academic cooperation, and other activities that foster closer people-to-people ties. The Ambassador likewise reaffirmed the Philippines’ commitment to regional solidarity and constructive engagement within ASEAN and beyond. END
