Strengthening Fire Safety: PH Embassy Partners with CDA for Emergency Preparedness

The Philippine Embassy in Islamabad continues to prioritize the safety and security of its personnel and visitors through proactive measures and strong collaboration with local authorities.

On 13 April 2026, the Embassy, led by H.E. Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez, held a coordination meeting with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Emergency Service Department. Joining the Ambassador were Embassy officials Mr. Christian Glenn B. Baggas (Administrative Officer), Mr. Richelle Carlo L. Villaflor (Property Officer), and Mr. Bakhtawar Shah (Property Assistant).

The CDA delegation was represented by Director Muhammad Ahsan and Assistant Director Tariq Masood. Discussions focused on enhancing the Embassy’s emergency preparedness, particularly in the event of fire incidents.

Key outcomes of the meeting include the scheduled conduct of a comprehensive fire safety inspection on 22 April 2026. This will involve an assessment of the Embassy’s entry and exit points, as well as the availability and accessibility of fire hydrants and water sources. The initiative will be followed by the organization of fire evacuation drills to ensure readiness and effective response among Embassy personnel.

This collaboration underscores the Embassy’s commitment to maintaining a safe environment and upholding the highest standards of emergency preparedness.
