ISLAMABAD, 17 October 2026—Philippine Ambassador to Pakistan H.E. Dr. Emmanuel R. Fernandez and his spouse, Mme. Alicia Kalaw-Fernandez, attended “An Evening with Bangladeshi Cultural Troupe,” organized by Pakistan’s National Heritage & Culture Division at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad.

The event was attended by Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Md. Iqbal Hussain Khan, and was graced by Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi as Chief Guest. Also present was Asad Rehman Gillani, Secretary of the National Heritage & Culture Division, alongside members of the diplomatic corps and other distinguished guests.

A 15-member Bangladeshi cultural delegation showcased the country’s rich artistic heritage through Bengali music, traditional and contemporary dance, solo vocal performances, and group songs. The programme also featured an exhibition of works by Bangladeshi artist Md. Abdus Sattar.

The cultural evening highlighted the role of cultural diplomacy in fostering mutual understanding, strengthening people-to-people connections, and promoting friendship among nations. It also celebrated the power of music, dance, and the visual arts to bridge cultures and bring peoples closer together. END
